Copenhagen
If you expected a coherent trip report, you chose the wrong blog, as this post shows. I’m always on the lookout for unusual bits and pieces — signs, street art, unexpected stuff — so here’s a few days’ worth of them.
First, a nice girl with creatures I can’t identify,
seen outside Copenhagen’s City Hall.
As we climbed another tower (the Round Tower, aptly named), we came upon a room with an exhibition of contemporary Danish tapestries. In the small gift shop area,

Dan noticed this clock. Look closely: it’s upside-down and backwards. I don’t know who the serious person is.
that I think sells children’s clothing. Unless it’s toys for bats.
On the grounds of the Christianborg Palace,

I saw a few colorful displays: kale, pumpkins, and amaranth. Not exactly vegetable gardens, as the pumpkins are clearly already harvested, but quite nice.
As I said, lots of people ride bikes, many with boxes in the front for cargo, kids, or even another adult. Most of the bikes are black, but I liked this white one
mostly for its apparent brand. Very calm and contemplative, at least until it gets into the serious traffic along the bike lanes.
And finally, I decided that this did not mark a drowning

but I can’t be sure. It was just there.
