We came home on Thanksgiving Day. Taking BART from SFO and walking home from our neighborhood station in the middle of the afternoon definitely felt like “off-season,” unusually quiet and unpopulated — quite different from Italy.

This post is a collection of photos and recollections that I didn’t send earlier. First, some of the nice art at SFO, high on a big wall at a departure gate in the International terminal:

We were surprised and enchanted by a temporary exhibit in the Florence Duomo museum. It was a video with music but no narration, showing the artist in various locations, most of them windy, wrapping himself in a metallic space blanket. This is the ad poster for the video:
